Adolescents' Programme (males & females)

Would you like to be able to:

  • Get angry without having to blow?
  • Think of the past without getting angry?
  • Talk about what is going on for you?
  • Handle frustration at work in a 'cooler' way?
  • Be able to argue without getting angry?
  • Learn more about your feelings?
  • Get on better with your partner and family?
  • Cruise through most weeks without getting upset?
  • Understand other people more?
  • Stand up to peer pressure?
  • Have a range of different skills to deal with frustration?
  • Stay out of trouble?
  • Change behaviour you don't like?
  • Be a person who others aren't frightened of?
  • Have a long-term happy relationship?
  • Break the pattern of acting violently?
  • Be clear about what beliefs are important?

This programme is for young men and young women who bottle things up, have a short fuse, are in conflict with their partner and/or family, and perhaps getting into trouble with the police. It is for adolescents who assault people when drinking, or feel frustrated and angry with the world and don't know what to do about it.

SVS can help by:

  • Providing a programme that is easy for you to manage.
  • Working with you in a friendly, non-blaming way.
  • Helping you find okay ways to cope with your anger and frustration.
  • Helping you identify and understand events and feelings that have led to violent outbursts.
  • Supporting you in looking at beliefs that no longer work so well.
  • Helping you identify high-risk situations.
  • Working with you in developing a plan that will keep you and others safe.
  • Supporting you while you make change.
